Atha kho āyasmā soṇo, eko vūpakaṭṭho appamatto ātāpī pahitatto viharanto, na cirasseva – yassatthāya kulaputtā sammadeva agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajanti – tadanuttaraṃ brahmacariyapariyosānaṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihāsi. ‘Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṃ brahmacariyaṃ, kataṃ karaṇīyaṃ, nāparaṃ itthattāyā’ti abhiññāsi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho āyasmā soṇo bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – yo so, bhante, bhikkhu arahaṃ khīṇāsavo vusitavā katakaraṇīyo ohitabhāro anuppattasadattho parikkhīṇabhavasaññojano sammadaññā vimutto, so chaṭṭhānāni adhimutto hoti – nekkhammādhimutto hoti, pavivekādhimutto hoti, abyāpajjādhimutto hoti, upādānakkhayādhimutto hoti, taṇhakkhayādhimutto hoti , asammohādhimutto hoti.

Khīṇāsavo, bhante, bhikkhu, vusitavā, katakaraṇīyo, karaṇīyamattānaṃ [karaṇīyaṃ attano (aṅguttarapāḷiyaṃ)] asamanupassanto katassa vā paṭicayaṃ, khayā rāgassa vītarāgattā pavivekādhimutto hoti, khayā dosassa vītadosattā pavivekādhimutto hoti, khayā mohassa vītamohattā pavivekādhimutto hoti.

‘‘Siyā kho pana, bhante, idhekaccassa āyasmato evamassa – ‘sīlabbataparāmāsaṃ nūna ayamāyasmā sārato paccāgacchanto abyāpajjādhimutto’ti. Na kho panetaṃ, bhante, evaṃ daṭṭhabbaṃ. Khīṇāsavo, bhante, bhikkhu, vusitavā, katakaraṇīyo, karaṇīyamattānaṃ asamanupassanto katassa vā paṭicayaṃ, khayā rāgassa vītarāgattā abyāpajjādhimutto hoti, khayā dosassa vītadosattā abyāpajjādhimutto hoti, khayā mohassa vītamohattā abyāpajjādhimutto hoti.

‘‘Evaṃ sammā vimuttacittassa, bhante, bhikkhuno bhusā cepi cakkhuviññeyyā rūpā cakkhussa āpāthaṃ āgacchanti, nevassa cittaṃ pariyādiyanti. Amissīkatamevassa cittaṃ hoti, ṭhitaṃ, āneñjappattaṃ, vayañcassānupassati. Bhusā cepi sotaviññeyyā saddā…pe… ghānaviññeyyā gandhā… jivhāviññeyyā rasā… kāyaviññeyyā phoṭṭhabbā… manoviññeyyā dhammā manassa āpāthaṃ āgacchanti, nevassa cittaṃ pariyādiyanti; amissīkatamevassa cittaṃ hoti, ṭhitaṃ, āneñjappattaṃ, vayañcassānupassati. 于是尊者须那证得阿罗汉果后,心想:"我应该去世尊面前宣说证悟。"于是尊者须那来到世尊处,礼敬世尊后,坐在一旁。坐在一旁的尊者须那对世尊说:"世尊,那位比丘是阿罗汉,诸漏已尽,梵行已立,所作已办,放下重担,达到自己的目标,断尽有结,正确了知而解脱,他倾向于六种境界:倾向于出离,倾向于远离,倾向于无恼害,倾向于灭除执取,倾向于灭除渴爱,倾向于无痴。
世尊,或许有某位尊者会这样想:'这位尊者恐怕只是依靠纯粹的信仰而倾向于出离。'世尊,但不应该这样看。世尊,漏尽的比丘,梵行已立,所作已办,不再见到应做之事或已做之事的积累,因贪欲灭尽而无贪故倾向于出离,因嗔恚灭尽而无嗔故倾向于出离,因愚痴灭尽而无痴故倾向于出离。

世尊,或许有某位尊者会这样想:'这位尊者恐怕是执著于戒禁取而倾向于无恼害。'世尊,但不应该这样看。世尊,漏尽的比丘,梵行已立,所作已办,不再见到应做之事或已做之事的积累,因贪欲灭尽而无贪故倾向于无恼害,因嗔恚灭尽而无嗔故倾向于无恼害,因愚痴灭尽而无痴故倾向于无恼害。
因贪欲灭尽而无贪故倾向于灭除执取,因嗔恚灭尽而无嗔故倾向于灭除执取,因愚痴灭尽而无痴故倾向于灭除执取。
因贪欲灭尽而无贪故倾向于灭除渴爱,因嗔恚灭尽而无嗔故倾向于灭除渴爱,因愚痴灭尽而无痴故倾向于灭除渴爱。
因贪欲灭尽而无贪故倾向于无痴,因嗔恚灭尽而无嗔故倾向于无痴,因愚痴灭尽而无痴故倾向于无痴。
世尊,如是正确解脱心的比丘,即使强烈的眼所识色进入眼根的范围,也不会占据他的心。他的心保持不混杂,安住,达到不动,并且观察其衰灭。即使强烈的耳所识声...鼻所识香...舌所识味...身所识触...意所识法进入意根的范围,也不会占据他的心。他的心保持不混杂,安住,达到不动,并且观察其衰灭。世尊,就像一座坚实的岩石山,没有裂缝,没有孔洞,整体一块,即使从东方来猛烈的风雨,也不会震动、不会摇晃、不会颤抖;即使从西方...从北方...从南方来猛烈的风雨,也不会震动、不会摇晃、不会颤択。同样地,世尊,如是正确解脱心的比丘,即使强烈的眼所识色进入眼根的范围,也不会占据他的心。他的心保持不混杂,安住,达到不动,并且观察其衰灭。即使强烈的耳所识声...鼻所识香...舌所识味...身所识触...意所识法进入意根的范围,也不会占据他的心。他的心保持不混杂,安住,达到不动,并且观察其衰灭。"
倾心于出离,心意趋远离,
倾向无恼害,灭除诸执取。


Taṇhakkhayādhimuttassa , asammohañca cetaso;

Disvā āyatanuppādaṃ, sammā cittaṃ vimuccati.

Tassa sammāvimuttassa, santacittassa bhikkhuno;

Katassa paṭicayo natthi, karaṇīyaṃ na vijjati.

Selo yathā ekagghano, vātena na samīrati;

Evaṃ rūpā rasā saddā, gandhā phassā ca kevalā.

Iṭṭhā dhammā aniṭṭhā ca, na pavedhenti tādino;

Ṭhitaṃ cittaṃ vippamuttaṃ, vayañcassānupassatīti.

148. Diguṇādiupāhanapaṭikkhepo

245. Atha kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, kulaputtā aññaṃ byākaronti, attho ca vutto, attā ca anupanīto. Atha ca, panidhekacce moghapurisā hasamānakaṃ, maññe, aññaṃ byākaronti, te pacchā vighātaṃ āpajjantī’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ soṇaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘tvaṃ khosi, soṇa, sukhumālo. Anujānāmi te, soṇa, ekapalāsikaṃ upāhana’’nti. ‘‘Ahaṃ kho, bhante, asītisakaṭavāhe hiraññaṃ ohāya agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajito, sattahatthikañca anīkaṃ. Athāhaṃ bhante ekapalāsikaṃ ce upāhanaṃ pariharissāmi, tassa me bhavissanti vattāro ‘soṇo koḷiviso asītisakaṭavāhe hiraññaṃ ohāya agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajito, sattahatthikañca anīkaṃ. So dānāyaṃ ekapalāsikāsu upāhanāsu satto’ti. Sace bhagavā bhikkhusaṅghassa anujānissati ahampi paribhuñjissāmi; no ce bhagavā bhikkhusaṅghassa anujānissati, ahampi na paribhuñjissāmī’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘anujānāmi, bhikkhave, ekapalāsikaṃ upāhanaṃ. Na, bhikkhave, diguṇā upāhanā dhāretabbā. Na tiguṇā upāhanā dhāretabbā. Na guṇaṅguṇūpāhanā [gaṇaṅgaṇūpāhanā (bahūsu)] dhāretabbā. Yo dhāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassā’’ti.

149. Sabbanīlikādipaṭikkhepo



倾向灭除渴爱,心意趋无痴,
见诸入处生起,心正解脱。
彼正解脱者,比丘心寂静,
无所作积累,无事需再做。
如一整块岩,不为风所动,
如是色声香,味触及一切,
可意不可意,法不能震动,
心住解脱中,观其衰灭性。
须那·拘利子的故事结束。
禁止双层等鞋
于是世尊对比丘们说:"比丘们,这就是良家子弟宣说证悟的方式,意义已说明,自我未被抬高。然而,有些愚人似乎是在嬉笑中宣说证悟,他们后来会陷入懊悔。"然后世尊对尊者须那说:"须那,你是娇生惯养的。须那,我允许你穿单层皮鞋。"
"世尊,我放弃了八十车载的黄金和七头大象的军队从在家生活出家。世尊,如果我现在穿单层皮鞋,人们会说:'须那·拘利子放弃了八十车载的黄金和七头大象的军队从在家生活出家。现在他却执著于单层皮鞋。'如果世尊允许比丘僧团穿,我也会穿;如果世尊不允许比丘僧团穿,我也不会穿。"
于是世尊以此因缘、以此场合说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,我允许穿单层皮鞋。比丘们,不应穿双层皮鞋。不应穿三层皮鞋。不应穿多层皮鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
禁止双层等鞋结束。
禁止全蓝色等

Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti, ‘‘seyyathāpi gihī kāmabhogino’’ti. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Na, bhikkhave, nīlakavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā…pe… na pītakavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na lohitakavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na mañjiṭṭhikavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na kaṇhavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na mahāraṅgarattavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na mahānāmarattavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā. Yo dhāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassāti.

Tena kho pana samayena chabbaggiyā bhikkhū khallakabaddhā […bandhā (ka.)] upāhanāyo dhārenti…pe… puṭabaddhā upāhanāyo dhārenti, pāliguṇṭhimā upāhanāyo dhārenti, tūlapuṇṇikā upāhanāyo dhārenti , tittirapattikā upāhanāyo dhārenti, meṇḍavisāṇavaddhikā upāhanāyo dhārenti, ajavisāṇavaddhikā upāhanāyo dhārenti, vicchikāḷikā upāhanāyo dhārenti, morapiñcha [morapiñja (sī. syā.)] parisibbitā upāhanāyo dhārenti, citrā upāhanāyo dhārenti. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti, ‘‘seyyathāpi gihī kāmabhogino’’ti. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Na, bhikkhave , khallakabaddhā upāhanā dhāretabbā…pe… na puṭabaddhā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na pāliguṇṭhimā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na tūlapuṇṇikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na tittirapattikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na meṇḍavisāṇavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na ajavisāṇavaddhikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na vicchikāḷikā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na morapiñchaparisibbitā upāhanā dhāretabbā, na citrā upāhanā dhāretabbā. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti, ‘‘seyyathāpi gihī kāmabhogino’’ti. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. 150. Omukkaguṇaṅguṇūpāhanānujānanā



当时,六群比丘穿全蓝色的鞋...穿全黄色的鞋...穿全红色的鞋...穿全深红色的鞋...穿全黑色的鞋...穿全橙色的鞋...穿全粉红色的鞋。人们责难、诽谤、批评说:"就像在家享受欲乐的人一样。"他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,不应穿全蓝色的鞋...不应穿全黄色的鞋,不应穿全红色的鞋,不应穿全深红色的鞋,不应穿全黑色的鞋,不应穿全橙色的鞋,不应穿全粉红色的鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
当时,六群比丘穿蓝色边的鞋,穿黄色边的鞋,穿红色边的鞋,穿深红色边的鞋,穿黑色边的鞋,穿橙色边的鞋,穿粉红色边的鞋。人们责难、诽谤、批评说:"就像在家享受欲乐的人一样。"他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,不应穿蓝色边的鞋...不应穿黄色边的鞋,不应穿红色边的鞋,不应穿深红色边的鞋,不应穿黑色边的鞋,不应穿橙色边的鞋,不应穿粉红色边的鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
当时,六群比丘穿皮带鞋...穿袋状鞋,穿包裹脚踝的鞋,穿棉花填充的鞋,穿鹧鸪羽毛装饰的鞋,穿羊角装饰的鞋,穿山羊角装饰的鞋,穿蝎子尾状的鞋,穿孔雀羽毛缝制的鞋,穿彩色的鞋。人们责难、诽谤、批评说:"就像在家享受欲乐的人一样。"他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,不应穿皮带鞋...不应穿袋状鞋,不应穿包裹脚踝的鞋,不应穿棉花填充的鞋,不应穿鹧鸪羽毛装饰的鞋,不应穿羊角装饰的鞋,不应穿山羊角装饰的鞋,不应穿蝎子尾状的鞋,不应穿孔雀羽毛缝制的鞋,不应穿彩色的鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
当时,六群比丘穿狮皮装饰的鞋...穿虎皮装饰的鞋,穿豹皮装饰的鞋,穿羚羊皮装饰的鞋,穿水獭皮装饰的鞋,穿猫皮装饰的鞋,穿黑鹿皮装饰的鞋,穿猫头鹰皮装饰的鞋。人们责难、诽谤、批评说:"就像在家享受欲乐的人一样。"他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,不应穿狮皮装饰的鞋...不应穿虎皮装饰的鞋,不应穿豹皮装饰的鞋,不应穿羚羊皮装饰的鞋,不应穿水獭皮装饰的鞋,不应穿猫皮装饰的鞋,不应穿黑鹿皮装饰的鞋,不应穿猫头鹰皮装饰的鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
禁止全蓝色等结束。
允许脱鞋和多层鞋

247. Atha kho bhagavā pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya rājagahaṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi, aññatarena bhikkhunā pacchāsamaṇena. Atha kho so bhikkhu khañjamāno bhagavantaṃ piṭṭhito piṭṭhito anubandhi. Addasā kho aññataro upāsako guṇaṅguṇūpāhanā ārohitvā bhagavantaṃ dūratova āgacchantaṃ; disvā upāhanā ārohitvā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā yena so bhikkhu tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā taṃ bhikkhuṃ abhivādetvā etadavoca – ‘‘kissa, bhante, ayyo khañjatī’’ti ? ‘‘Pādā me, āvuso, phalitā’’ti [phālitāti (ka.)]. ‘‘Handa, bhante, upāhanāyo’’ti. ‘‘Alaṃ , āvuso, paṭikkhittā bhagavatā guṇaṅguṇūpāhanā’’ti. ‘‘Gaṇhāhetā, bhikkhu, upāhanāyo’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘anujānāmi, bhikkhave, omukkaṃ guṇaṅguṇūpāhanaṃ. Na, bhikkhave, navā guṇaṅguṇūpāhanā dhāretabbā. Yo dhāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassā’’ti.

151. Ajjhārāme upāhanapaṭikkhepo

248. Tena kho pana samayena bhagavā ajjhokāse anupāhano caṅkamati. Satthā anupāhano caṅkamatīti, therāpi bhikkhū anupāhanā caṅkamanti. Chabbaggiyā bhikkhū, satthari anupāhane caṅkamamāne, theresupi bhikkhūsu anupāhanesu caṅkamamānesu, saupāhanā caṅkamanti. Ye te bhikkhū appicchā…pe… te ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti – ‘‘kathañhi nāma chabbaggiyā bhikkhū, satthari anupāhane caṅkamamāne, theresupi bhikkhūsu anupāhanesu caṅkamamānesu, saupāhanā caṅkamissantī’’ti. Atha kho te bhikkhū bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ…pe… ‘‘saccaṃ kira, bhikkhave, chabbaggiyā bhikkhū, satthari anupāhane caṅkamamāne, theresupi bhikkhūsu anupāhanesu caṅkamamānesu, saupāhanā caṅkamantī’’ti? ‘‘Saccaṃ, bhagavā’’ti. Vigarahi buddho bhagavā…pe… ‘‘kathañhi nāma te, bhikkhave, moghapurisā, satthari anupāhane caṅkamamāne, theresupi bhikkhūsu anupāhanesu caṅkamamānesu, saupāhanā caṅkamissanti. Ime hi nāma, bhikkhave , gihī odātavatthavasanakā abhijīvanikassa sippassa kāraṇā ācariyesu sagāravā sappatissā sabhāgavuttikā viharissanti. Idha kho taṃ, bhikkhave, sobhetha, yaṃ tumhe evaṃ svākkhāte dhammavinaye pabbajitā samānā ācariyesu ācariyamattesu upajjhāyesu upajjhāyamattesu agāravā appatissā asabhāgavuttikā [sagāravā saggatissā sabhāgavuttikā (ka.)] vihareyyātha. Netaṃ, bhikkhave, appasannānaṃ vā pasādāya…pe… vigarahitvā…pe… dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘na, bhikkhave, ācariyesu ācariyamattesu upajjhāyesu upajjhāyamattesu anupāhanesu caṅkamamānesu saupāhanena caṅkamitabbaṃ. Yo caṅkameyya, āpatti dukkaṭassa . Na ca, bhikkhave, ajjhārāme upāhanā dhāretabbā. Yo dhāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassā’’ti.

249. Tena kho pana samayena aññatarassa bhikkhuno pādakhilābādho hoti. Taṃ bhikkhū pariggahetvā uccārampi passāvampi nikkhāmenti. Addasā kho bhagavā senāsanacārikaṃ āhiṇḍanto te bhikkhū taṃ bhikkhuṃ pariggahetvā uccārampi passāvampi nikkhāmente, disvāna yena te bhikkhū tenupasaṅkami, upasaṅkamitvā te bhikkhū etadavoca – ‘‘kiṃ imassa, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno ābādho’’ti? ‘‘Imassa, bhante, āyasmato pādakhilābādho; imaṃ mayaṃ pariggahetvā uccārampi passāvampi nikkhāmemā’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘anujānāmi, bhikkhave, yassa pādā vā dukkhā, pādā vā phalitā, pādakhilo vā ābādho [pādakhilābādho vā (syā.)] upāhanaṃ dhāretu’’nti.

Tena kho pana samayena bhikkhū adhotehi pādehi mañcampi pīṭhampi abhiruhanti; cīvarampi senāsanampi dussati. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, ‘idāni mañcaṃ vā pīṭhaṃ vā abhiruhissāmī’’ti upāhanaṃ dhāretunti.

Tena kho pana samayena bhikkhū rattiyā uposathaggampi sannisajjampi gacchantā andhakāre khāṇumpi kaṇṭakampi akkamanti; pādā dukkhā honti. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, ajjhārāme upāhanaṃ dhāretuṃ, ukkaṃ, padīpaṃ, kattaradaṇḍanti.

一天早晨,世尊穿好衣服,拿着钵和袈裟,进入王舍城(现在的拉杰吉尔)乞食,有一位比丘跟在后面作为随从。这位比丘跛着脚跟在世尊后面。一位优婆塞穿着多层鞋,远远地看到世尊走来,便脱下鞋子走向世尊。他礼敬世尊后,走向那位比丘,礼敬那位比丘后问道:"尊者,您为什么跛脚?"比丘回答说:"居士,我的脚裂开了。""那么,尊者,请穿这双鞋。""够了,居士,世尊禁止穿多层鞋。""比丘,请收下这双鞋。"于是世尊以此因缘、以此场合说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,我允许穿别人脱下的多层鞋。比丘们,不应穿新的多层鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
允许脱鞋和多层鞋结束。
禁止在寺院内穿鞋
当时,世尊在露天赤脚经行。导师赤脚经行,长老比丘们也赤脚经行。六群比丘在导师赤脚经行、长老比丘们赤脚经行时,却穿着鞋子经行。那些少欲的比丘...责难、诽谤、批评说:"六群比丘怎么可以在导师赤脚经行、长老比丘们赤脚经行时,却穿着鞋子经行呢?"那些比丘把这件事告诉世尊..."比丘们,六群比丘真的在导师赤脚经行、长老比丘们赤脚经行时,却穿着鞋子经行吗?""是的,世尊。"佛陀世尊呵责道..."比丘们,这些愚人怎么可以在导师赤脚经行、长老比丘们赤脚经行时,却穿着鞋子经行呢?比丘们,即使是穿白衣的在家人,为了谋生的技艺,也会对老师恭敬、顺从、和睦相处。比丘们,你们在如此善说的法律中出家,却对老师、类似老师的人、和尚、类似和尚的人不恭敬、不顺从、不和睦相处,这是不适当的。比丘们,这不能令不信者生信..."呵责后...说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,当老师、类似老师的人、和尚、类似和尚的人赤脚经行时,不应穿鞋经行。谁经行,犯突吉罗罪。比丘们,不应在寺院内穿鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。"
当时,一位比丘患有脚疮。比丘们扶着他去大小便。世尊巡视住处时看到比丘们扶着那位比丘去大小便,便走过去问那些比丘:"比丘们,这位比丘患什么病?"他们回答说:"世尊,这位尊者患有脚疮;我们扶着他去大小便。"于是世尊以此因缘、以此场合说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,我允许脚痛、脚裂或患有脚疮的人穿鞋。"
当时,比丘们脚没洗就上床和椅子;弄脏了衣服和住处。他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,我允许想'现在要上床或椅子'时穿鞋。"
当时,比丘们晚上去布萨堂或集会时,在黑暗中踩到树桩和荆棘;脚受伤了。他们把这件事告诉世尊。"比丘们,我允许在寺院内穿鞋,允许使用火把、灯和手杖。"

Tena kho pana samayena chabbaggiyā bhikkhū – bhagavatā kaṭṭhapādukā paṭikkhittāti – tālataruṇe chedāpetvā tālapattapādukāyo dhārenti; tāni tālataruṇāni chinnāni milāyanti. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti – ‘‘kathañhi nāma samaṇā sakyaputtiyā tālataruṇe chedāpetvā tālapattapādukāyo dhāressanti; tāni tālataruṇāni chinnāni milāyanti; ekindriyaṃ samaṇā sakyaputtiyā jīvaṃ viheṭhentī’’ti. Assosuṃ kho bhikkhū tesaṃ manussānaṃ ujjhāyantānaṃ khiyyantānaṃ vipācentānaṃ. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti – ‘‘kathañhi nāma samaṇā sakyaputtiyā veḷutaruṇe chedāpetvā veḷupattapādukāyo dhāressanti. Tāni veḷutaruṇāni chinnāni milāyanti. 252. Atha kho bhagavā bhaddiye yathābhirantaṃ viharitvā yena sāvatthi tena cārikaṃ pakkāmi. Anupubbena cārikaṃ caramāno yena sāvatthi tadavasari. Tatra sudaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tena kho pana samayena chabbaggiyā bhikkhū aciravatiyā nadiyā gāvīnaṃ tarantīnaṃ visāṇesupi gaṇhanti, kaṇṇesupi gaṇhanti, gīvāyapi gaṇhanti, cheppāpi gaṇhanti, piṭṭhimpi abhiruhanti, rattacittāpi aṅgajātaṃ chupanti, vacchatarimpi ogāhetvā mārenti. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti – ‘‘kathañhi nāma samaṇā sakyaputtiyā gāvīnaṃ tarantīnaṃ visāṇesupi gahessanti…pe… seyyathāpi gihī kāmabhogino’’ti. Assosuṃ kho bhikkhū tesaṃ manussānaṃ ujjhāyantānaṃ khiyyantānaṃ vipācentānaṃ. Atha kho te bhikkhū bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ…pe… saccaṃ kira, bhikkhave,…pe… saccaṃ bhagavāti…pe… vigarahitvā…pe… dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘na, bhikkhave, gāvīnaṃ visāṇesu gahetabbaṃ, na kaṇṇesu gahetabbaṃ, na gīvāya gahetabbaṃ, na cheppāya gahetabbaṃ, na piṭṭhi abhiruhitabbā . Yo abhiruheyya, āpatti dukkaṭassa. Na ca, bhikkhave, rattacittena aṅgajātaṃ chupitabbaṃ. Yo chupeyya, āpatti thullaccayassa. Na vacchatarī māretabbā. Yo māreyya, yathādhammo kāretabbo’’ti.

之后,世尊在波罗奈城住了一段时间,便向跋提城**。他渐次**,到达跋提城。世尊住在跋提城的佳提耶林。当时,跋提城的比丘们热衷于制作各种装饰性的鞋子,他们自己制作或让人制作草鞋、文奢草鞋、芦苇鞋、棕榈叶鞋、莲花鞋、毛毡鞋,而忽视了诵经、问法、增上戒学、增上心学、增上慧学。那些少欲的比丘...责难、诽谤、批评说:"跋提城的比丘们怎么可以热衷于制作各种装饰性的鞋子,自己制作或让人制作草鞋、文奢草鞋、芦苇鞋、棕榈叶鞋、莲花鞋、毛毡鞋,而忽视诵经、问法、增上戒学、增上心学、增上慧学呢?"那些比丘把这件事告诉世尊..."比丘们,跋提城的比丘们真的热衷于制作各种装饰性的鞋子,自己制作或让人制作草鞋...而忽视诵经、问法、增上戒学、增上心学、增上慧学吗?""是的,世尊。"佛陀世尊呵责道..."比丘们,这些愚人怎么可以热衷于制作各种装饰性的鞋子,自己制作或让人制作草鞋...而忽视诵经、问法、增上戒学、增上心学、增上慧学呢?比丘们,这不能令不信者生信..."呵责后...说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,不应穿草鞋,不应穿文奢草鞋,不应穿芦苇鞋,不应穿棕榈叶鞋,不应穿莲花鞋,不应穿毛毡鞋,不应穿金鞋,不应穿银鞋,不应穿宝石鞋,不应穿琉璃鞋,不应穿水晶鞋,不应穿铜鞋,不应穿玻璃鞋,不应穿锡鞋,不应穿铅鞋,不应穿红铜鞋。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。比丘们,也不应穿任何可移动的鞋子。谁穿了,犯突吉罗罪。比丘们,我允许三种固定的、不可移动的鞋子:厕所鞋、小便处鞋、洗净处鞋。"
之后,世尊在跋提城住了一段时间,便向舍卫城**。他渐次**,到达舍卫城。世尊住在舍卫城祇树给孤独园。当时,六群比丘在阿致罗筏底河里,当牛在渡河时,抓牛角,抓牛耳,抓牛颈,抓牛尾,骑在牛背上,带着淫欲心触摸牛的生殖器,甚至杀死小牛。人们责难、诽谤、批评说:"释迦子沙门怎么可以在牛渡河时抓牛角...就像在家享受欲乐的人一样。"比丘们听到人们的责难、诽谤、批评,就把这件事告诉世尊...世尊呵责后...说法后,对比丘们说:"比丘们,不应抓牛角,不应抓牛耳,不应抓牛颈,不应抓牛尾,不应骑在牛背上。谁骑了,犯突吉罗罪。比丘们,也不应带着淫欲心触摸牛的生殖器。谁触摸了,犯偷兰遮罪。不应杀小牛。谁杀了,应按法处置。"

253. Tena kho pana samayena chabbaggiyā bhikkhū yānena yāyanti, itthiyuttenapi purisantarena, purisayuttenapi itthantarena. Manussā ujjhāyanti khiyyanti vipācenti – ‘‘seyyathāpi gaṅgāmahiyāyā’’ti. Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Na, bhikkhave, yānena yāyitabbaṃ . Yo yāyeyya, āpatti dukkaṭassāti. Tena kho pana samayena aññataro bhikkhu kosalesu janapade sāvatthiṃ gacchanto bhagavantaṃ dassanāya antarāmagge gilāno hoti. Atha kho so bhikkhu maggā okkamma aññatarasmiṃ rukkhamūle nisīdi. Manussā taṃ bhikkhuṃ disvā etadavocuṃ – ‘‘kahaṃ, bhante, ayyo gamissatī’’ti? ‘‘Sāvatthiṃ kho ahaṃ, āvuso, gamissāmi bhagavantaṃ dassanāyā’’ti. ‘‘Ehi, bhante, gamissāmā’’ti. ‘‘Nāhaṃ, āvuso, sakkomi, gilānomhī’’ti. ‘‘Ehi, bhante, yānaṃ abhiruhā’’ti. ‘‘Alaṃ, āvuso, paṭikkhittaṃ bhagavatā yāna’’nti kukkuccāyanto yānaṃ nābhiruhi. Atha kho so bhikkhu sāvatthiṃ gantvā bhikkhūnaṃ etamatthaṃ ārocesi. Bhikkhū bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, gilānassa yānanti. Atha kho bhikkhūnaṃ etadahosi – ‘‘itthiyuttaṃ nu kho purisayuttaṃ nu kho’’ti? Bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ. Anujānāmi , bhikkhave, purisayuttaṃ hatthavaṭṭakanti.

Atha kho āyasmā ānando – ‘‘yassa kho maṃ bhagavā āṇāpeti, ‘imassa, ānanda, āgantukassa bhikkhuno senāsanaṃ paññāpehī’ti, icchati bhagavā tena bhikkhunā saddhiṃ ekavihāre vatthuṃ, icchati bhagavā āyasmatā soṇena saddhiṃ ekavihāre vatthu’’nti – yasmiṃ vihāre bhagavā viharati tasmiṃ vihāre āyasmato soṇassa senāsanaṃ paññāpesi.

于是尊者索纳在雨安居结束后，独处静坐时生起这样的想法："我只是听说世尊如何如何，但还没有亲眼见过。如果我的戒师允许的话，我应该去拜见那位世尊、阿罗汉、正等正觉者。"于是尊者索纳在傍晚结束静坐后，走向尊者大迦旃延，到达后向尊者大迦旃延问候，然后坐在一旁。坐在一旁的尊者索纳对尊者大迦旃延说："尊者，我独处静坐时生起这样的想法：'我只是听说世尊如何如何，但还没有亲眼见过。如果我的戒师允许的话，我应该去拜见那位世尊、阿罗汉、正等正觉者。'尊者，如果戒师允许的话，我想去拜见那位世尊、阿罗汉、正等正觉者。""很好，很好，索纳。去吧，索纳，去拜见那位世尊、阿罗汉、正等正觉者。索纳，你将看到那位世尊，他令人愉悦、令人欢喜、诸根寂静、内心平和、达到最高的调御与寂静、已得无上、已调伏、已守护、诸根自制、如大象。那么索纳，你要以我的名义向世尊顶礼说：'尊者，我的戒师尊者大迦旃延向世尊顶礼。'"并且这样说："尊者，阿槃提南方比丘很少，我经过三年，费尽周折地从各处召集了十人的比丘僧团才得到具足戒；也许世尊可以允许在阿槃提南方用更少的人数授具足戒。尊者，阿槃提南方的土地黑色坚硬，遍布牛蹄印；也许世尊可以允许在阿槃提南方穿多层凉鞋。尊者，阿槃提南方的人们重视沐浴，以水为净化；也许世尊可以允许在阿槃提南方经常沐浴。尊者，在阿槃提南方，皮革被用作坐具，如羊皮、山羊皮、鹿皮。就像在中部地区有埃拉古、莫拉古、马加鲁、占图等草垫一样，尊者，在阿槃提南方，皮革被用作坐具，如羊皮、山羊皮、鹿皮；也许世尊可以允许在阿槃提南方使用皮革坐具，如羊皮、山羊皮、鹿皮。现在，尊者，人们给离开界域的比丘们布施衣服，说：'我们把这件衣服给某某比丘。'他们回来后告诉说：'朋友，某某居士给你布施了衣服。'他们因顾虑而不接受，说：'不要让我们犯舍忏罪。'也许世尊可以对衣服作出指示。""好的，尊者。"尊者索纳回答尊者大迦旃延后，从座位上起身，向尊者大迦旃延问候，右绕后，收拾住处，拿着钵和袈裟向舍卫城出发。渐次到达舍卫城祇树给孤独园，走向世尊，到达后向世尊问候，然后坐在一旁。于是世尊对尊者阿难说："阿难，为这位来访的比丘准备住处。"于是尊者阿难想："世尊命令我'阿难，为这位来访的比丘准备住处'，这意味着世尊想与这位比丘住在同一个住处，世尊想与尊者索纳住在同一个住处。"于是他在世尊所住的精舍里为尊者索纳准备了住处。

258. Atha kho bhagavā bahudeva rattiṃ ajjhokāse vītināmetvā vihāraṃ pāvisi. Āyasmāpi kho soṇo bahudeva rattiṃ ajjhokāse vītināmetvā vihāraṃ pāvisi. Atha kho bhagavā rattiyā paccūsasamayaṃ paccuṭṭhāya āyasmantaṃ soṇaṃ ajjhesi – ‘‘paṭibhātu taṃ, bhikkhu, dhammo bhāsitu’’nti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā soṇo bhagavato paṭissuṇitvā sabbāneva aṭṭhakavaggikāni sarena abhāsi. Atha kho bhagavā āyasmato soṇassa sarabhaññapariyosāne abbhānumodi – ‘‘sādhu, sādhu, bhikkhu. Suggahitāni kho te, bhikkhu, aṭṭhakavaggikāni , sumanasikatāni sūpadhāritāni. Kalyāṇiyāpi vācāya samannāgato, vissaṭṭhāya, anelagalāya [aneḷagalāya (ka.)], atthassa viññāpaniyā. Kativassosi tvaṃ, bhikkhū’’ti? ‘‘Ekavassohaṃ, bhagavā’’ti. ‘‘Kissa pana tvaṃ, bhikkhu, evaṃ ciraṃ akāsī’’ti? ‘‘Ciraṃ diṭṭho me, bhante, kāmesu ādīnavo, api ca sambādhā gharāvāsā bahukiccā bahukaraṇīyā’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā etamatthaṃ viditvā tāyaṃ velāyaṃ imaṃ udānaṃ udānesi –

[udā. 46 udānepi] ‘‘Disvā ādīnavaṃ loke, ñatvā dhammaṃ nirūpadhiṃ;

Ariyo na ramatī pāpe, pāpe na ramatī sucī’’ti.

Atha kho āyasmā soṇo – paṭisammodati kho maṃ bhagavā, ayaṃ khvassa kālo yaṃ me upajjhāyo paridassīti – uṭṭhāyāsanā ekaṃsaṃ uttarāsaṅgaṃ karitvā bhagavato pādesu sirasā nipatitvā bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘upajjhāyo me, bhante, āyasmā mahākaccāno bhagavato pāde sirasā vandati, evañca vadeti avantidakkhiṇāpatho, bhante, appabhikkhuko. Tiṇṇaṃ me vassānaṃ accayena kicchena kasirena tato tato dasavaggaṃ bhikkhusaṅghaṃ sannipātāpetvā upasampadaṃ alatthaṃ, appeva nāma bhagavā avantidakkhiṇāpathe appatarena gaṇena upasampadaṃ anujāneyya. Avantidakkhiṇāpathe, bhante, kaṇhuttarā bhūmi kharā gokaṇṭakahatā; appeva nāma bhagavā avantidakkhiṇāpathe guṇaṅguṇūpāhanaṃ anujāneyya. Avantidakkhiṇāpathe, bhante, nahānagarukā manussā udakasuddhikā, appeva nāma bhagavā avantidakkhiṇāpathe dhuvanahānaṃ anujāneyya. Avantidakkhiṇāpathe, bhante, cammāni attharaṇāni, eḷakacammaṃ ajacammaṃ migacammaṃ. Seyyathāpi, bhante, majjhimesu janapadesu eragū moragū majjārū jantū , evameva kho, bhante, avantidakkhiṇāpathe cammāni attharaṇāni, eḷakacammaṃ ajacammaṃ migacammaṃ; appeva nāma bhagavā avantidakkhiṇāpathe cammāni attharaṇāni anujāneyya, eḷakacammaṃ ajacammaṃ migacammaṃ. Etarahi, bhante, manussā nissīmagatānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ cīvaraṃ denti – ‘imaṃ cīvaraṃ itthannāmassa demā’ti. Te āgantvā ārocenti – ‘itthannāmehi te, āvuso, manussehi cīvaraṃ dinna’nti. Te kukkuccāyantā na sādiyanti – ‘mā no nissaggiyaṃ ahosī’ti; appeva nāma bhagavā cīvare pariyāyaṃ ācikkheyyā’’ti.

"看到世间的过患，了知无执著的法，
圣者不乐于恶，清净者不乐于恶。"

259. Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṃ nidāne etasmiṃ pakaraṇe dhammiṃ kathaṃ katvā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘avantidakkhiṇāpatho, bhikkhave, appabhikkhuko. Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, sabbapaccantimesu janapadesu vinayadharapañcamena gaṇena upasampadaṃ. Tatrime paccantimā janapadā – puratthimāya disāya gajaṅgalaṃ [kajaṅgalaṃ (sī. syā.)] nāma nigamo, tassa parena mahāsālā, tato parā paccantimā janapadā, orato majjhe; puratthimadakkhiṇāya disāya sallavatī [salalavatī (sī.)] nāma nadī, tato parā paccantimā janapadā, orato majjhe; dakkhiṇāya disāya setakaṇṇikaṃ nāma nigamo, tato parā paccantimā janapadā, orato majjhe; pacchimāya disāya thūṇaṃ nāma brāhmaṇagāmo, tato parā paccantimā janapadā, orato majjhe; uttarāya disāya usīraddhajo nāma pabbato, tato parā paccantimā janapadā, orato majjhe . Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, evarūpesu paccantimesu janapadesu vinayadharapañcamena gaṇena upasampadaṃ. Avantidakkhiṇāpathe, bhikkhave, kaṇhuttarā bhūmi kharā gokaṇṭakahatā. Rājā ca māgadho soṇo, asītisahassissaro;

Sāgato gijjhakūṭasmiṃ, bahuṃ dasseti uttariṃ.

Pabbajjāraddhabhijjiṃsu , vīṇaṃ ekapalāsikaṃ;

Nīlā pītā lohitikā, mañjiṭṭhā kaṇhameva ca.

Mahāraṅgamahānāmā, vaddhikā ca paṭikkhipi;

Khallakā puṭapāli ca, tūlatittirameṇḍajā.

Vicchikā moracitrā ca, sīhabyagghā ca dīpikā;

Ajinuddā majjārī ca, kāḷaluvakaparikkhaṭā.

Phalitupāhanā khilā, dhotakhāṇukhaṭakhaṭā;

Tālaveḷutiṇaṃ ceva, muñjapabbajahintālā.

Kamalakambalasovaṇṇā , rūpikā maṇiveḷuriyā;

Phalikā kaṃsakācā ca, tipusīsañca tambakā.

Gāvī yānaṃ gilāno ca, purisāyuttasivikā;

Sayanāni mahācammā, gocammehi ca pāpako.

Gihīnaṃ cammavaddhehi, pavisanti gilāyano;

Mahākaccāyano soṇo, sarena aṭṭhakavaggikaṃ.

Upasampadaṃ pañcahi, guṇaṅguṇā dhuvasinā;

Cammattharaṇānuññāsi, na tāva gaṇanūpagaṃ;

Adāsi me vare pañca, soṇattherassa nāyakoti.

Imamhi khandhake vatthūni tesaṭṭhi.
